INITIAL STUDY/NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR GEOTHERMAL PLANTS IN CALIFORNIA

GEPermit is currently preparing a combined Initial Study/Negative Declaration involving soil clean up and remediation activities for several geothermal plants in California. As a result of recent site soil investigations, the applicant was required to prepare a Removal Action Workplan (RAW). GEPermit is responsible for preparation of the CEQA Documentation on behalf of DTSC, DTSC and other agency coordination, development of "DTSC Fact Sheet" as well as conducting a public meeting on this project. Final CEQA documentation and public meeting will be finalized late 2010.

SIX SPILL PREVENTION, CONTROL AND COUNTERMEASURE PLAN (SPCC) REVIEW (Geothermal Plant in California)

GEPermit provided SPCC Plan review services to meet the requirements set forth in U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 40, Part 112 (40 CFR 112) for power generating facilities located in California. SPCC Plans require a review and certification by a California licensed Civil Engineer. GEPermit conducted the initial site visit to determine environmental compliance for six sites. In association with civil engineers Nolte Associates, Inc., GEPermit completed all six SPCC plans on time and within budget and received a 100% satisfactory review from the client.
