Ms. Rustemoglu has been involved in international management and aviation planning, business development and marketing, and city and environmental planning since 1997. Her entrepreneurial spirit, led her to found GEPermit in 2009, where her primary responsibilities are management, business development, directing technical operations and project management. Ms. Rustemoglu is devoted to advancing the understanding of global enterprise management, primarily focusing on renewable energy opportunities in the U.S. and overseas markets. Since 2003, she's specialized in the development of NEPA and CEQA documentation (EISs, EAs, and EIRs) for urban and residential developments, renewable energy resources, industrial plants, commercial/municipal facilities, transportation, and infrastructure projects. She's also well versed in the acquisition of federal, state, and local permit applications and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Rustemoglu has chaired a variety of conference sessions for both the American Planning Association and the Association of Environmental Planners. She received an MCP in city planning and M.A. in English and comparative literature from San Diego State University and a B.A. in English language and literature from Istanbul University, Turkey. She serves as the Membership Chair for the Women of Wind Energy (WoWe) San Diego Chapter Executive Committee.
Ms. Rustemoglu received the Young Planner award from the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) and the Dutch Ministry of Transportation and she was a speaker at the Management of Urban Regions Conference in Geneva, Switzerland in 2004. She was sponsored to attend the United Nations' Humans Settlement Congress in Geneva in 2004 by the ISOCARP.
