GEPermit's Principal Planner, Mr. Konar, has more than 25 years of professional planning experience in the public and private sectors. His diverse range of experience includes many highly complex projects including master plans, specific plans, zoning ordinances, general plan amendments, local coastal programs and entitlement processing. Mr. Konar's discretionary permit experience includes public sector service with the California Coastal Commission, City of San Diego and County of San Diego.
As a planning consultant, Mr. Konar has successfully led numerous land use planning and entitlement projects. Since joining GEPermit, he's focused on securing entitlements for renewable energy facilities. He received an MCP from the San Diego State University and a B.A. in political science and sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Konar is a charter member of American Planning Association (APA) and serves as the webmaster for the San Diego County APA Board of Directors. He's also a member of Move San Diego and the governmental relations committee of WalkSan Diego.
